Short Answer
Operable walls maintain sightline alignment by using customizable aluminum profiles, precise mullion spacing, and glass packages designed to match adjacent storefronts and curtain wall systems.
Expanded Insight
Seamless blending of sightlines is a top priority for architects working on projects requiring storefronts with lots of glass. The Arc3D™ Duo and Solo are engineered around this design objective, allowing for custom-positioned structural mullion spacing or no mullions at all for a full-glass section, matching finishes, and glass packages that mimic the appearance of fixed storefront glazing.
The simple direct drive operation of these door systems, contained within a covered and powder-coated outer fastening frame that mounts to an inside-facing wall, minimizes side room and headroom clearance requirements and thus results in an elegant and clean architectural impact when both open and closed.
Matching finishes also play a critical role. Powder-coated steel profiles allow the operable sections to blend naturally into the broader façade, supporting a cohesive blending with both the interior and exterior conditions.
